A striking and unusual building on Spaarndammerstraat which was built in the past in three parts, between 1881 and 1898. In its early days it was used as an office for the nearby sugar factory of the time. In 1924, the building came into the possession of the Roman Catholic Mary Magdalene Parish to be used as a parish house. In 2012, the parish ceased operation due to various mergers.

Midvast intends to redevelop the building in which the characteristic front facade and part of the roof construction will be preserved and that behind it a new building will be built of a total of approximately 2,063 m2 G.F.A.. The building will have 19 apartments on the upper floors and on the ground and second floor commercial space is envisaged.
